Our long flight to Bali was smooth but worth the trip. We were received by the driver on arrival and promptly driven to our accommodations where we were greeted by the warm, kind, and hospitable Balinese people.
The accommodation at Royal Bali Beach Club at Jimbaran Bay was good; the housekeeping was excellent. The Balinese people are so nice, kind and hospitable.
Recreational sports are wonderful at Bali. At Nusa Dua Beach, we tried out activities such as parasailing, jet skiing and riding in a glass bottom boat, where we saw beautiful fishes in the middle of the Indian Ocean. White water rafting was another highlight, with the funny instructor guiding us through the exciting boat ride down the river.
We enjoyed our trip to the Batik shopping center, where we bought beautifully printed shirts and tried on formal Balinese dresses that we took pictures in for memories. Ubud Shopping Center is another great place to visit for Balinese woodcraft and jewellery.
I enjoyed the Uluwatu temple as we saw the Balinese Dance which is steeped in tradition. The temples of Bali hold with them beautiful stories rich with culture.
I would definitely want to make a return journey to Bali and would recommend it to my friends, if they’re willing to make a long trip. |
